Auckland is more than just a city, it is a complete region filled with things to see and do. New Zealand’s most northern center is extremely liveable and totally loveable, straddling the Tasmanian Sea and the Pacific Ocean, offering natural beauty and unmitigated luxury in equal parts.
The iconic Sky Tower is the Southern Hemisphere’s tallest structure at 1,076 feet, delivering breathtaking, 360-degree views of Auckland and beyond. Viaduct Harbour is also worth a walk-about, to relax among the boardwalk’s cool cafés or admire the private yachts – or embark on one yourself.
Built around an extinct volcano Auckland Domain is the city’s oldest park, the perfect spot for picnics and sporting events, museum visits and botanical garden strolls.
Luckily, you never have to go too far in this city to experience the ocean. Local sunbathers hit the city’s two main beaches, Mission Bay and Kohimarama.
