When you only have a few days and want a vacation that’s bite-sized but more than memorable. We have put together our top quick trips for fall that can’t be missed!
BOSTON
There are so many wonderful things about Boston! We love Boston most, and New England, for that matter, in the fall when the leaves turn and the air is fresh and crisp. Boston is one of the best walking cities in the world so plan on seeing a great deal of it on foot. If you’re not a history buff before you go, you will be when you leave, for Boston is really where America began.
- Watch the ships on Long Wharf and take in the feel of this great New England seaport
- Two words: Lobster and seafood. Indulge yourself night after night. You won’t find better!
- Take a private tour of Harvard and Cambridge across the Charles River. Watch the rowers on the Charles and wander Harvard Square and the charming shops and cafes nearby
- Walk the Freedom Trail with a personal guide, through Boston Common, and past the famed Paul Street Church. Tour Faneuil Hall and snap up gifts by local artisans
- Our favorite hotels: The Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, and Mandarin Oriental
LONDON
What London does, it does brilliantly! Going to the theatre in the West End is magic. There is more fascinating history in London than you can possibly absorb. The shopping? Brilliant – as Londoners would say. The food, of course; London is the most multicultural city in the world and dining is sensational.
- On every shop hound’s radar these days, Dover Street Market, near Piccadilly
- At least once in your life, see a production at The Old Vic or The Royal Court
- In London, department stores are still incredibly exciting. Harrods, Harvey Nichols, and Selfridges are true global style leaders
- Drinks! This is London, after all. Lyaness at Sea Containers or Footman on Charles Street
- Hotels we love: Four Seasons at Park Lane, Bulgari, The Lanesborough, and the recently reopened Mandarin Oriental amongst so many others
PARIS
Art, food, fashion…Paris! The most romantic, glamorous city in the world never loses its appeal. There are always new neighborhoods for you to explore, exquisite restaurants to try, and shopping streets to wander.
- Tour the Louvre privately; the perfect way to cut through the crowds and ensure you see some of the world’s most exquisite works
- Shop the world’s most glamorous neighborhoods for the great fashion houses…Rue Saint-Honoré and the Triangle d’Or…and Rue de Passy in the 16th
- For a sweet taste of Impressionist art, L’Orangerie on the west corner of the Tuileries
- Wander the most extraordinary flea market anywhere! Les Puce, in Clignancourt, is more than 15 acres of treasures
- The perfect end to an incredible day – drinks at Hotel Costes
- Hotels we love: The Bristol, Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons George V, and The Ritz
