Imagine edging up dockside at some of the most iconic seaports in the world. Now picture the same manoeuvre aboard the new Queen Anne® on her inaugural season. Cunard® line is happy to present this new ocean wonder, the 249th ship in its fleet, ready to celebrate with a continuous string of thrilling itineraries to the most engaging of cities of the Mediterranean, the Baltic and the Atlantic.
This will be your chance to witness a few of the 60 ports on the agenda in the Queen Anne’s maiden season and look on as the ship’s captain and the local harbor masters make the traditional exchange of plaques for the first time. With almost 3,000 guests and 1,225 crew, the Queen Anne is a journey of great proportions, with impeccable service to match.
A home away from home in every sense
From its classic restaurants through the lively social areas, into the sumptuous suites and on to the spa, the Queen Anne is a modern yet timeless work of art – refined, stately, elegant and soothing. Staterooms are a soft study in luxury, stylish with deep blue tones and warm woods. A distinctive old-world flair permeates yet never overwhelms, with rich patterns and gold finishings adding a touch of glamor.
Pools, bars and alfresco eateries are a seamless delight, the wide-open spaces creating a real sense of place, whether guests are having lunch on deck or watching a movie under the stars. And from early coffee to afternoon tea through to the evening’s fine dining, passengers can expect mouth-watering cuisine via global ingredients, then sink into the dark cobalt chairs of the Bright Lights Society show bar – a night well spent.
When it’s time for self-care, the Queen Anne has a place for you on a yoga mat in the wellness studio on the top deck. Follow that up with a steam or a sauna in the marine-inspired environment of Mareel Spa, where a thermal pool and thermal loungers also melt away the cares of the day. A full fitness center and a spin class studio augment the fitness quotient even more.
Discover a new destination every day
Heading south from its headquarters in Southampton, England, the Cunard Queen Anne will make its first seven-night journey to Lisbon . Shore excursions take in the ancient Alfama district with its Fado music halls and narrow streets and the UNESCO-listed 16th-century Belém Tower, as well as the city’s vintage trams and funiculars, and quaint eateries. Guests will explore the ancient Roman architecture in La Coruña on the way.
The stunning scenery of the Canary Islands is also on the 2023-24 agenda. Europe’s Sunshine Center is well-known for its weather, with five of the islands designated as biocenter reserves. Hike up to the volcanic peaks at Timanfaya or sink down into the soft, white sand of Fuerteventura. Tenerife offers its 16th-century San Cristóbal de La Laguna while Gran Canaria’s Las Palmas is tops for its duty free shopping and carnival atmosphere.
Norway fjords present an incredible opportunity for luxury cruise ship exploration along its incredible coastline. The picturesque waterfalls and forests, the colorful wharfs of the fishing ports – the setting is pretty much the same as it has always been. The same goes for the ports of the Mediterranean Sea. The Queen Anne will grace the shores of several Mediterranean ports from now until 2024, including Italy, Spain and Portugal. Stroll Las Ramblas and drink in the amazing Gaudi architecture in Barcelona, or dine on perfect seafood after a day at the beach in Cádiz.
Guests will also be able to see Scotland, England and Northern Ireland from the comfort of their private balcony, and wander into the cobblestone streets of Edinburgh or experience a whisky-tasting. Visitors to Britain can also stop in at the Titanic Belfast museum or walk in the footsteps of The Beatles in Liverpool.
If Northern Europe is on your mind, Cunard is ready with all the highlights of the Baltic Sea, including Copenhagen, Stockholm and Helsinki. Farther afield, the rolling green meadows and ice-capped mountaintops of Iceland offer natural beauty and otherworldly landscapes, while the capital of Reykjavik is a gold mine of cool cultural pursuits.
