Oceania Cruises: Meet the Culinary Masters
By Tully Luxury Travel | 02-28-2024 |
Culinary aficionados are euphoric over the introduction of Oceania's first-ever Culinary Masters’ Cruise – a voyage of ultimate epicurean adventure. Oceania Cruises is now the only cruise line to have two of its chefs inducted into the echelons of the Maîtres Cuisiniers de France. This prestigious group, established in 1951, works to preserve and further the French culinary arts – and now you can be part of it on this indulgent Culinary Masters’ Cruise.
Food enthusiasts will enjoy an exclusive opportunity to witness the work of chefs Alexis Quaretti and Eric Barale aboard the MS Marina. Along with their talented team, the chefs deliver the perfect opportunity to learn, to taste and to be immersed in the culinary arts from port to port.
Ready yourself for the ultimate food adventure
Guest on this special voyage will not only be able to savor multi-course fine-dining experiences every night – including exclusive private dinners – but also participate in gastronomic adventure off-ship with culinary tours led by members of the kitchen staff.
Special culinary events include themed Chef’s Market Dinners in The Terrace Café, which showcases all the fresh, seasonal ingredients brought onboard by the culinary team, inspired by the destinations you will visit. On-stage panel discussions with Chef Alex and Chef Eric will also include the participation of special guests who will join the activities onboard. All passengers will be invited to attend Oceania Cruises’ signature gala seafood brunch, too – an elegant experience usually just reserved for ship launches.
The bespoke experience will also include live cooking demonstrations, cooking classes and wine-tastings to round out the foodie experience.
Experience culinary expertise throughout Europe
With 1,250 guests, the Marina will sail from Valletta, the capital city of Malta, to Rome. Stops along the way highlight the various gastronomic pleasures of each region, sailing both the Mediterranean and the Adriatic: Kotor, Montenegro; Dubrovnik and Split, Croatia; Bari, Italy; Corfu and Katakolon, Greece; Naples and Rome, Italy.
The Marina herself will make for a very pleasurable dining companion. Marina and her sister the Riviera have now been joined by the Vista. A new ship, the Allura, is on the way as well, further augmenting Oceania’s commitment to reaching new culinary heights. These ships have more food storage space and galley space than any other ship at sea, ensuring both quality and freshness. As well, the staff will spoil you completely, with half of the crew on board dedicated to either cooking or serving food.
