When you dine on a Regent Seven Seas cruise, you’re doing more than just enjoying a meal, you’re “living a moment” – sharing a culinary experience with your family or friends, savoring authentic flavors and drawing out your inner gourmand. This is the real foodie in you, appreciating every morsel.
Regent’s recently expanded and enhanced culinary offerings on board have completely reset the bar when it comes to restaurant programming on any ship, anywhere, delivering a deft mix of epicurean perfection and creative spirit.
“I can honestly say that I have never had better food on any other cruise ship, than what I experienced on the Regent Splendor,” says our CEO and Founder, Mary Jean Tully. “In fact, I would go so far as to say, I don’t know many restaurants that can compete with the quality and the choice of food under one roof.”
Through the menus of specialty restaurant Compass Rose, where you can customize your own entrée, to the made-to-order dishes at La Veranda, to the classic French fare of Chartreuse and the Pan-Asian diversity of Pacific Rim, the food onboard a Regent cruise is pure culinary artistry.
“The variety of the meals in all the dining rooms goes above and beyond,” Mary Jean says. “My favorite restaurant was Prime 7 steakhouse. I enjoyed the beef tartare, the Caesar salad, the crab cake and the Dover sole – that was just one night! It was spectacular. I loved the beef tartare so much, I had it again the next time I went, as well as a bone-in rib eye. It was cooked to perfection, and the service was completely on point.”

The Regent food adventure – from poolside to room service, and everywhere in-between – doesn’t stop at the gangway. The tastes and treasures of world cultures extend to the cruise line’s Epicurean Explorations on shore. Guests experience full immersion in the culinary riches of the ports they visit, discovering historic local food markets, learning about traditional cooking methods, tasting amazing wine and unfolding napkins in world-class restaurants –the scope of Regent’s gastronomic knowledge about the regions they visit is as broad as it is delicious.
“And let’s not forget about the cooking classes,” Mary Jean says. Regent’s Culinary Arts Kitchen Experiences allow guests to expand their skills in the kitchen through hands-on practicality and special demonstrations. “It was great! I was the one cooking, mind you, but following the recipes was pretty awesome.”
All told, the Regent Seven Seas explorations into the exciting and different ways guests can indulge their palates onboard and off add up to an unrivaled cuisine experience, full stop. On every ship and on every sailing. It’s just another reason why the World’s Most Luxurious Fleet is not just a motto, it’s an absolute.
