| When Is The Best Time to Travel to Thailand?

It will vary from the northern mountains to the southern islands, but for the most part, the best time would be in the cool/dry season which is between November to April. It’s best to avoid visiting between July and October as it is monsoon season. The islands are most likely to have great weather all year round.

| What Experiences Are a 'Must Do' When Visiting?

Temples! I suggest visiting the top ones: The White Temple in Chiang Rai (Wat Rong Khun), Wat Pho in Bangkok with the 150-foot gold-plated Reclining Buddha, and Wat Arun, also in Bangkok. Arrange to speak with a monk to learn about their way of life and the Buddhist religion. Another must-do is an Andaman boat tour around the gorgeous beaches and islands in the south. You should also visit the pristine, white sand beaches. All of the islands are beautiful, and you will not be disappointed.

| What Travel Tips Would You Pass On?

Pro tip – shopping is cheaper in the northern markets! You’ll find that the prices are double or triple in the markets in the south. There is such a thing as ‘Thai Time’. You will learn that this means they are usually slower or later than normal - they take their time. Make sure you have as much fresh fruit as you can, it is so fresh and delicious. The Thai people love their king and are very proud that their country has never been colonized. Lastly, do not touch people’s heads. The head is sacred in Thai culture, and it is a sign of disrespect to touch the head.
