Megayachts, private jets and even submarines are part of the next chapter of luxury travel.
What does your dream vacation look like? A romantic river cruise on the Danube? Visiting remote islands on a yacht? Hopping on a private plane ? to anywhere? With Crystal Cruises’ latest launches, you’ll soon be able to do all that, and more.
Introducing new super cruises, yachts and river cruises, as well as its own Boeing 787 Dreamliner, over the next three years, Crystal Cruises is set to become the leader in extraordinary travel experiences.
“They’re being very innovative and extremely creative, building on their understanding of the luxury market and adding amazing new options,” says Mary Jean Tully, Founder and CEO of Tully Luxury Travel, an award-winning Canadian travel agency and Crystal’s top producer in the world. “Crystal will keep satisfying the demand for river cruises, while offering their customers new experiences that they can expect to be created with the same high standards.”
Launching summer 2016, Crystal River Cruises offers the all-inclusive experience guests have come to expect: six-star service, world-class dining, spacious accommodations and expertly curated itineraries ? all with a front row seat to the grand waterways and renowned cities of Europe.
Starting with the launch of Crystal Mozart in July, guests can cruise the Danube, see scenic Wachau Valley’s picturesque castle towns, enjoy wine tastings in Dürnstein, and witness the imperial splendour of Austria, the birthplace of Mozart.
Then, in June 2017, Crystal Debussy will take guests on a tour of the best of Paris, the Seine River and Normandy. Also in summer 2017, you can cruise the Rhine and Moselle rivers from Amsterdam to Frankfurt on Crystal Bach, experience the wine region of Bordeaux on Crystal Ravel, and see many of Europe’s top spots on Crystal Mahler, including Budapest, Vienna, Nuremberg, Cologne and Amsterdam.
“River cruises have become very popular over the past few years,” says Tully. “They can go to places where others can’t sail. You can go down canals, or get off and go bike riding. You can do all sorts of really cool things, day or night. You can experience the city in the evening, enjoy dinner out on the town and see the city lit up at night. It’s a totally different experience.”
Crystal’s latest plans include its new Crystal Yacht Cruises program, which offers intimate experiences in unprecedented luxury. In December 2015, Crystal launched the 62-guest Crystal Esprit superyacht, featuring spacious suites (with king size beds and double vanity sinks) and routes to the Seychelles Islands and the Adriatic Coast. The Crystal Esprit also offers guests the chance to dive down to a thousand feet in a state-of-the-art deep-sea submersible, or indulge in some R&R at the ship’s mini spa. Enjoy a drink at the Sunset Bar, catch a game in the club room or try your luck in the casino.

THE NEXT CHAPTER
In August 2018, Crystal will debut the world’s largest megayacht, Crystal Endeavor, a 183-metre-long vessel that is the world’s first purpose-built Polar Code compliant. It will be able to cruise in Arctic and Antarctic waters as well as tropical conditions, visiting remote, hard-to-reach islands. Adventure will be fed by its many toys, including helicopters, seven-person submarines, SEABOBs and other personal water craft such as zodiacs, jet skis and WaveRunners, plus snorkeling and scuba equipment. Using a Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV), expeditions will be organized to see sunken galleons, warships and passenger ships such as the Titanic.
Of course, comfort isn’t sacrificed in the name of excitement. Spacious suites start at 400 square feet with balcony, and the megayacht will also boast a full-service spa, yoga, pilates, wellness centre, an infinity pool that converts into a dance floor or an alfresco dining area, six dining options, a 200-seat theatre, cinema, card room and computer centre. Butler service will be available for all 200 guests and the ship will boast a one-to-one crew-to-guest ratio.
Expanding its expedition lineup further, in 2018, Crystal will introduce new, robust Crystal Exclusive Class polar ice class cruise ships with all the features and amenities of a luxury ship or private yacht. And with Crystal Luxury Air launching next year, Crystal aims to reach new heights, offering extravagant around-the-world trips aboard its Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
“We are so proud to be continually named as Crystal’s number one worldwide producer for the last fifteen years – and counting. There is a reason for that: my team and I are absolute Crystal devotees. We know everything about their ships, their itineraries, and their service because we have experienced it for ourselves,” says Tully. “Crystal offers my clients – time and time again – an unparalleled luxury experience.”
